ACTORS WORKSHOP
“Cabaret for Kids”
 
Schedule:
June 3-June 15
Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Final Showcase: Saturday June 15 at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM
Instructors: Paul Packer, Irene Patino, Pat Rinkenberger
Cost: $200.00
(entering) 2nd-6th grade

This 2 week program will offer workshop experiences in auditioning, performing, character development, movement, and vocal technique. Participants will work on short plays and scenes and study all aspects of production such as set construction and costuming. Participants will also work with our Teen Musician Workshop participants on a production of “Peter and the Wolf” by Prokofiev. There will be public performances of the “Cabaret” and “Peter and the Wolf” on Saturday June 15.

Instructors: Brian and Victoria Beach
Cost: $300.00

This 2 week program will offer workshop experiences in auditioning, rehearsing, and performing in a musical pit setting. Participants will work on individual parts, ensemble techniques, coordinating with onstage performers, and following a conductor. The repertoire for this workshop will include “Peter and the Wolf” by Prokofiev. There will be public performances of “Peter and the Wolf” on Saturday June 15. This workshop is open to all band and orchestra instruments. Applicants must prepare two contrasting solos of their choice and two scales with appropriate ranges.
